In case Blue is used for transactions through the Internet without the consent of the Cardmember, the Cardmember will not pay for any fraudulent charges. We will credit temporarily the account, immediately after the dispute, until we investigate the transaction. If the transaction is proved to be made without the Cardmember’s consent, there will be no charge! Furthermore, there is 24-hour protection for high charges in the Card Account. High or unusual transactions will be checked and confirmed with the Cardmember.

American Express is by you 24 hours a day to help you in case of medical emergencies, or any other difficult moment when you are traveling. Furthermore, Travel Insurance for the Cardmembers and their beloved, every time they purchase the tickets using Blue. This benefit is optional and the charge is €8.54 per year, per Card.

Card replacement if your Card is lost or stolen, within one working day in Cyprus and two working days abroad.

If your Card is lost or stolen, you can obtain cash through our Travel Service Offices, debited to your Card account. Thus, you can cover your immediate needs until you receive your Replacement Card.

You may choose the amount of the installment to pay, according to your needs, beginning from 5% of your outstanding balance.

You have the option to defer your monthly installment, for 1 or 2 months annually, with a simple call to the American Express Card Members Service Line.

The ALFAMEGA American Express scheme rewards you by giving Cash Back, to use at the ALFAMEGA Hypermarkets! ALFAMEGA AMERICAN EXPRESS offers you:

Every three months, you will receive by mail a cheque equal to the 1% of your purchases that you have made anywhere, with your American Express Card.

You can redeem this cheque at the cashiers of ALFAMEGA within one year of the date of issue. You will receive this cheque provided that its value is of €9 or more. If the value is less than €9, your transactions still count on the next trimester. The trimesters are January- March, April – June, July - September, October – December. Cheques will be sent at the beginning of the following month.

You can fill out an American Express application at the ALFAMEGA Hypermarkets or at any Bank of Cyprus branch.

In order to enrol in this new ALFAMEGA AMERICAN EXPRESS scheme, you must fill out the “switching schemes’ form”. You can find the switching form at any ALFAMEGA Hypermarket or at any Bank of Cyprus Branch and your participation in the scheme starts immediately.

Save a la card is an innovative new plan through which holders of Bank of Cyprus
credit cards can save money every time they use their cards in their daily
transactions.

Now you save daily without realizing it!

Participation in the plan is free

Simply visit any of the Bank of Cyprus branches and with a single signature acquire the savings account Save a la card. This way, for every transaction undertaken with your card, the amount will be rounded off to the nearest 1 or 5 or 10 euro, according to your choice. The difference will be automatically deposited in your new Save a la card account, where it will gain interest.

You put petrol in the car worth €33.20. According to your selection the amount will be rounded off as follows:

In the monthly account statement for your card you will continue to see the true value of the transactions you have conducted, and in addition the total amount you have saved.

NOTE: The amount of the monthly installment for the card will also include the amount saved. If payments to the credit card account are delayed the process of transferring sums to the deposit account will be suspended. The transfer of sums will be reactivated once delayed payments have been made.
